MIT's Pick of the Month

It is that time again to brag about our customers, this time its Shane Rager owner of Rager’s Edge Powder Coating in Leesburg, Indiana. Shane has been coating since 1998 in his garage! Now I know you are probably thinking a garage? There isn’t enough room but this is no ordinary garage it's 3800 sq. ft.!!! He has also been a customer of ours since April 2014. Shane takes full advantage of MIT’s service. Getting all of his powder coating needs taken care of at the same time.

Whether it’s Prismatic Powders, American Powder Coating, Epsi, Special Masking, and even our brand MIT Powder Coatings. He does not have to worry about wasting time shopping the web. Shane saves his time and money shopping with MIT.

When he first started out, he coated a lot for the RV industry, but now he has decided to concentrate on being a custom coater (my favorite). Shane does everything batch…no line! Which allows him to manually prepare, coat and cure his jobs. He is 100% hands on from start to finish. He has also had the opportunity to expand several times but has decided to remain small and focus on quality and service. If you think that is crazy than you obviously have never worked customer service!

Not only is Shane a brilliant coater he is a family man! Why separate work and personal life when you can combine the two. His wife Jane is very knowledgeable about this field and is right by his side helping through ever order (now that’s love), and his two kids help him out during those crazy time. The Rager family is very artistic and you can see it in their work!

You can always tell when someone does a job strictly for the paycheck/title or when they truly have PASSION for it. You can see that in Shane’s work he is very passionate about everything he coats! Let’s be honest, when you get a tattoo that represents your career it’s more than just a job! Here is Shane’s tattoo, its Rat Fink the powder coater.
